Our Story

Our historic two-story, Georgian-style building is located in the heart of downtown El Reno, and has served our town in a variety of ways since its construction in 1915.

For 50 years, our building served as the El Reno post office. In 1965, its large rooms were divided and the ceilings were lowered to convert it into a community college, and in 1972, it became part of the El Reno School system for use as a classroom.

We purchased the building in 2001, and renovations began that year to restore the original hardwood floors, 10-foot windows, 16-foot ceilings, marble walls and original tile. Our goal was to restore the original charm of our building, while creating a modern, fresh space for weddings and events. In 2005, we received two state recognized awards for the best adaptive reuse of a building and the best interior design project.

Our wedding was the first event held at the newly restored Festivities Event Center, and since then, we’ve treated every wedding and special event with the care and attention we would give our own. Every wedding at Festivities celebrates the joining of old traditions and new beginnings, and we are so proud of the rich history and modern backdrop our space brings to such beautiful occasions.
